    • Birthday present

  • Something that usually costs money
  • Something given on a recurring or traditional event and can be used for ulterior purposes:
    • To show wealth
    • To gain favor
    • To impress
    • To return a favor
    • To pay honor or respect
    • To show gratitude
    • Can be conditional
